Education is important.
I loved that school was so important to Rory. Obviously, she had moments where it was more important than it should be, but these days, teenagers aren’t as concerned with education as they should be. I guess it’s kind of hard to realize that the things you do when you’re 16 can determine your entire future.
A good TV show is more than just a TV show.
Uh, kind of like this one. I’m a serious TV addict, and when I have a favorite show, it becomes a way of life. I don’t think anything has quite had me the way GG did, though.
Love is pretty simple.
Let’s not overcomplicate things. While Lorelai had her fair share of dramatic relationships, she knew what she wanted out of a man.
Technology is overrated.
Why are some of the best lines from the Pilot episode? It was kind of awkward, yet perfect in every way.
If you’re attractive, your daughter might exploit you.
I guess the best way to avoid this is to not get pregnant at 16, yeah?
It’s okay, and even important, to wallow.
This episode has stuck with me for years. Despite Rory’s dedication to having a schedule and not being sad, she eventually needed to just cry on the couch with some junk food. We all do sometimes.
Looks aren’t everything.
But Lorelai, we all know you eventually dated the pie.
Caffeine is a necessity.
The Gilmores’ obsession with coffee was extremely unhealthy, and pretty weird. But obviously, if you want to talk that fast, you need caffeine.
He’d better have a motorcycle.
Again, the pilot episode. Lorelai fully understood going for the bad boy.
Robot vacuums are kind of creepy.
I couldn’t help but wonder where the Gilmore Girls managed to find money to buy two of these. They’re pretty darn expensive.
Reading doesn’t make you uncool.
Rory even kissed Chad Michael Murray, and she’s a bookworm.
