We know Hulu is a great place to catch your major network shows the day after they’ve aired, but have you checked out the Hulu original shows? I know, most of them look horrible. But I found a gem on there…
Dating Rules from My Future Self popped up in 2012, but unless you pay attention to what’s going on as far as Hulu originals, you probably didn’t notice it (or did you? let me know). Your main girl here is Shiri Appleby, who you might recognize from Roswell or even Life Unexpected (WHY WAS THAT CANCELED). Each episode is only 7-9 minutes, so you can watch the entire series in a day if you want.
Shiri, or Lucy, seems to have everything, but something’s just not right. She starts getting text messages from herself… in the future. I must warn you that if shorthand texts bother you a lot, you might want to skip this show, as the first episode is titled “Who R U?”
Can you believe they made a second season of this? They did.
In the second season, our leading lady is Chloe, played by Candice Accola (from Vampire Diaries). She has a weird obsession with Cheetos (really, they will make several appearances), sleeps around, and is
kind of a slob.
We advance a bit in technology this season, and Chloe is confronted by face time calls from her future self, or just herself wearing a wig.
I found the second season to be cheesier (see what I did there?) but more entertaining. I also loved that Shiri popped up to make everything come full circle.
