I think we’re finally finished…
With just nine days to go until Charlotte’s arrival, her nursery is ready to go!
We decided to use the HEMNES dresser from IKEA (and yes, it is anchored into the wall!) as a changing table, using the topper that matched the crib to keep the changing pad from slipping around, and give us a little storage.
I decided since she’s being raised in Georgia, she needed a monogram over her crib. That’s how that works, right? The curtains, which are pulled back here to let in some light, have a panel behind them to block out light. This is now the darkest room in the house when the curtains are down. I’m a little jealous, and considering some blackout curtains in our bedroom, too.
We went with picture ledges to hold her books, and Tim decided a bunch of toys should go on them, too, for whatever reason. We set up a glider next to them, which I decided must be pet-friendly (not white, with a microsuede fabric for easy cleaning). We also placed a nightstand there to house nursing and pumping supplies.
If you remember, those ultrasound pictures have all been there since we found out we were pregnant and this room was still my “office”. I can’t bring myself to take them down.
