I have a confession to make. Some of these purchases were made within 24 hours of the surgery I had last week, and I have little to no recollection of buying them. Several fun surprise packages arrived at our house over the weekend. It was funny but also kind of concerning. Surprisingly, I’m not returning anything.

These scrunchies. Scrunchies are back in! I’ve seen the “bunny ear” scrunchies around the ‘gram, and I tried some other ones from Amazon, and I hated them. The “ears” were too stiff and awkward, and the elastic wasn’t very… elastic? These are much easier to work with, the ears are more flimsy, thin, and longer.

Non-pearl barrettes. No hate toward the infamous pearl barrettes, but they’re not my style. My friend Rachael got these (or similar ones) and I loved them!

Non-pearl knotted headbands. Again, no hate! Just not my thing. The best thing about these is that the knot is subtle and fairly flat, so it doesn’t elongate my already oval face shape.

This comfy maxi skirt. I had a moment where I realized I had nothing (besides pajamas) to wear after my surgery that would be loose enough, so I did some quick ordering on Amazon. I’ve never owned a maxi skirt, because I’m so short, but I can easily roll this one, and it was still loose enough. It’s casual enough to wear with a t-shirt and flip flops. I’ve basically lived in it for the last week.

Handbag hangers. My bags have awkwardly sat on shelves I can’t reach ever since we moved into this house. I finally got fed up and ordered these hangers, and I’m actually switching out my purses more often because I can see and reach them.

OXO tot 2-in-1 Go Potty. Now that Charlotte is pretty much potty trained, we like to have a potty on hand when we’re out and about. This one’s great because you can pull up the legs and put it on top of a regular toilet seat, or you can put a bag in it if there’s no toilet nearby (which is totally necessary during road trips).

Mini fridge. Or rather, itty bitty fridge. Purchase inspired by Christine. This felt like something I didn’t really need, but I have a few skin care products that I don’t love putting in the regular refrigerator (they absorb the food smells, I swear). My ice roller, jade roller, sheet masks, and cooling eye mask all go in there. I guess I could put a few cans of Dr Pepper in there, too.

Opalhouse Embossed Tumbler. I assume you’re already following Things I Bought and Liked on Instagram, but I’m just letting you know that I was influenced. I love them.

Universal thread V-neck Pocket Tees. These are the BEST. The Madewell Whisper Tees are a close second, but these from Target are cheaper and a little bit thicker (so I don’t feel the need for a cami while wearing the white one).

Universal Thread Flap Backpack. This was one of my surprise packages, and surprise! I really like it. It’s not too stiff, holds a lot, and the side pockets are big enough for a water bottle.

Have you tried any of these? What are you loving this summer?

I need those tumblers! I keep seeing them and mean to order them so doing that now! Also, you can’t go wrong with a skincare fridge. It seems very high-end, BUT it’s such a nice treat honestly.

It really is worth it just so my ice roller doesn’t stink. LOL

Need more info on this backpack, will it fit a laptop? Also need those t-shirts. I’ve been loving my ice roller, my slip silk sleep mask and our new stand up steamer!!!

YES. There’s even a little pouch in the back, but it’s not padded, so I’d use a laptop sleeve.
