End of Summer

Summer 2019. You were great, but I think it’s time we moved on from each other. School’s starting this week, and we are ready.

You were hot, as always here in Georgia. You still are. We’re even in a heat advisory right now. But with your heat, you brought an escape to the beach, popsicles on the swingset, and a lot of water play.

I’ll always remember you for being the summer we took Charlotte to Disney World for the first time. It was one of my favorite trips we’ve ever taken. She was starstruck, excited, overwhelmed, and tired.

You were the summer Charlotte turned 3. She gained a lot of independence (including potty training!) which gave me some freedoms I didn’t have before.

Speaking of freedom, this school year Charlotte will be going to school four days a week. And she is excited! I’m excited!

So, this is it. On Wednesday, we’re done. I’m pretending it’s fall from now on, and I’ll be unpacking my sweaters very soon. Thanks for the memories.
