About Me

Hi, I’m Becca. Maybe you’ve seen me in a blogging space (this one, even?) in the past. Maybe you’ve found your way here from Bookstagram. Maybe you’re just creeping on me. But I’ve taken a bit of a break from having an internet presence of sorts, as my life kind of went all over the place in the last few years. But I miss having a little corner of the internet that is just mine, so I find myself here again. And probably, no one will read this.

I’m a mom. I still have the one kid, and she’s seven whole years old, which completely blows my mind, as it feels like two days ago that she was a tiny squishy baby.

My hobbies include but are not limited to: reading (like, a lot), listening to Taylor Swift obsessively, spiraling into Taylor Swift conspiracy theories, scrolling TikTok and sending the best ones to my friends, writing, random crafting like cross-stitching, rearranging everything in my house, finding out super random facts and making sure everyone around me knows, discovering a new reason to go back to Home Depot, and plotting to one day have a pet axolotl.

The Duke and I by Julia Quinn (Bridgerton #1)

4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am one of many who watched season 1 of Bridgerton on Netflix without ever reading the series, but I kept meaning to read the books. I have to say, I do prefer to read the book first (and will be attempting to doing so with the rest of the seasons). As for this book, I almost feel like the tv adaptation is… better. The plot just felt like it was fairly simple. Have you read or watched Bridgerton?

The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #0.1-0.5)

4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Thanks for the heartbreak, SJM. This set of novellas made me love Celaena much more, and I almost wish I’d read it first before I ever read ToG.

It would be easy to be a princess if I were dressed in cloth of gold, but it is a great deal more of a triumph to be one all the time when no one knows it.”

A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

I will always think of the 1995 movie, which I loved. While it’s a children’s book, it’s still a classic that withstands the test of time, being published in 1905.

I really got sucked into this one, much more than Heir of Fire.

I accidentally slipped Assassin’s Blade, but I’m going to rebel and read it next. Then tandem read! Wish me luck 😂

Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams (Bromance Book Club # 3)

This series is so fun! And I love a good friend to lovers trope. These are easy to read in one sitting!

What’s your favorite romance trope?

Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Family/courtroom drama that will suck you in. The characters were so well developed and the story was so layered. This book was quite long, but I think it was worth it.
